FA23 Sewing & Fashion SUNDAYS (6TH-12TH)

Service Description

Students will learn and continue to improve on their sewing and fashion design skills! This course teaches the fashion design process from concept to design to the final product. It's ideal for future fashion designers who want to pursue fashion as a career or want to explore more about fashion design. They will sew clothing items as well as several design projects throughout the semester to take home with them in addition to creating a fashion design collection. We will end with an in-house fashion show in December, where they can show their unique creations! Course Skills: • Machine sewing • Hand sewing • Upcycling • Trends/mood boards • Cutting/pinning/ironing/pressing/finishing • Creating a garment using a pattern • Sketching a fashion collection • Fashion illustration NO CLASSES: Sept 17 (Rosh Hashanah) NOTE: We WILL have class on Nov 12 (Diwali)
