SUMMER CAMP: Fashion Around The World

Service Description

What country are your favorite fashions from? Is it Paris, India, South Africa? Join as as we explore fashion and culture from around the world. Campers will choose a country and design and sew a mini collection based on the country of their choice. Each week the campers will be learning and improving on the following skills: • Machine sewing • Hand sewing • Fashion sketching and illustration • Mood Boards and Trend Research • Pattern-making and using a pattern • Cutting, pinning, ironing, pressing, and finishing • Jewelry and Accessory Design • Putting Together a mini collection *Each session ends with a Fashion show on Friday where campers showcase the work they have done for the week and model off their original designs! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend! - Students may bring bagged lunch. - Lunch option available for additional $10, which may be given in cash day of the camp. We order from Panera bread. - Students may bring a snack. We offer popcorn, pretzels, gold fish for snack. >> Please make sure to inform up if your child has any food allergies.* - No prior sewing experience required. - Camps are drop-off. - Ages 6-11 & teens.
