SUMMER CAMP: Fashion Recreated

Do you think outside the box? Want to design with non-traditional materials, such aluminum foil, magazines, bubble wrap? This camp is perfect for you! Join as as we spend a week learning about upcycle, sustainable fashion and designing clothing and accessories using sustainable materials and up-cycled clothing. Campers will bring in clothing from home that they will reinvent into wearable pieces to model off in the Friday Fashion Show! Each week the campers will be learning and improving on the following skills: • Machine sewing • Hand sewing • Fashion sketching and illustration • Mood Boards and Trend Research • Pattern-making and using a pattern • Cutting, pinning, ironing, pressing, and finishing • Jewelry and Accessory Design • Putting Together a mini collection *Each session ends with a Fashion show on Friday where campers showcase the work they have done for the week and model off their original designs! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend! - Students may bring bagged lunch. - Lunch option available for additional $10, which may be given in cash day of the camp. We order from Panera bread. - Students may bring a snack. We offer popcorn, pretzels, gold fish for snack. >> Please make sure to inform up if your child has any food allergies.* - No prior sewing experience required. - Camps are drop-off. - Ages 6-11 & teens.
