ABOUT US
The Fashionable Stylista was founded with the mission in mind to educate future fashion designers who have a passion for fashion design. The academy teaches sewing, fashion sketching, CAD design, and fashion design skills for students who are interested in learning more about fashion!
We provide a supportive, creative and educational environment where young future designers can learn skills that will make their designs come to life!
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer classes, camps, workshops for students from first grades and up. For teens, we also offer curriculum based courses as well as Fashion Portfolio preparation Classes for college admission.
OUR FOUNDER
Marcela Pinzon
Marcela attended F.I.T. (The Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC, and has worked in the childrenswear industry for many years, designing apparel for major retailers like Macy’s, Nordstrom, Target, and Walmart. She has experience in design, merchandising, production, and sourcing. She is currently teaching fashion at the Academy of Art University and partners with Nassau BOCES providing classes and workshops for budding fashion students. Her passion for fashion design and teaching others created the desire to provide an environment for fashion education and creativity.
