The academy teaches sewing, fashion sketching, CAD design, and fashion design skills for students who are interested in learning more about fashion!
We provide a supportive, creative and educational environment where young future designers can learn skills that will make their designs come to life!
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer classes, camps, workshops for students from first grades and up. For teens, we also offer curriculum based courses as well as Fashion Portfolio preparation Classes for college admission.

My 12YO daughter participated in their summer Fashion Camp in NYC and said it was the best camp she’s ever been to. Marcela is super sweet and accommodating. She truly has a passion for what she does. She spent 1/2 hour on the phone with me answering my questions prior to the camp to help me feel at ease allowing my daughter into the city for first time without family. She sent pics and messages throughout the day so we could follow what the girls were doing. Would definitely recommend !

Our Junior Girl Scout troop had a wonderful educational experience learning about fashion design and sewing. They made beautiful pillows. She was so inspired to begin sewing that she convinced her father to purchase a sewing machine for her. The classroom is beautiful and includes inspirational quotes. Our daughter started taking class with Marcela during the summer at her camp. Almost immediately we saw a new passion develop right before our eyes. Every time she had fashion class, she would run home, so proud of what she learned and created. Our daughter is very creative and artistic but she has more of an engineering type of mind and struggled with how to apply her talent. Fashion design was like this light bulb that went off and connected everything- all thanks to Marcela! She is now in her second semester at The Fashionable Stylista and her passion just continues to grow.

OUR FOUNDER
Marcela Pinzon
Marcela attended F.I.T. (The Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC, and has worked in the childrenswear industry for many years, designing apparel for major retailers like Macy’s, Nordstrom, Target, and Walmart. She has experience in design, merchandising, production, and sourcing. She is currently teaching fashion at the Academy of Art University. Her passion for fashion design and teaching others created the desire to provide an environment for fashion education and creativity.
