Service Description
5th–8th Grade Fashion Design & Sewing Our Winter/Spring session for 5th–8th graders is designed for both new and returning students who are ready to take their creativity and fashion skills to the next level. Whether they’re learning to sew for the first time or returning to refine their techniques, this program builds on core fashion design concepts while encouraging students to express their individual style. No experience is needed. Our curriculum is progressive and skill-building, allowing students to revisit and master essential techniques each session. They’ll explore the full design process from concept to creation, developing their own mini collections through sketching, fabric selection, sewing, and upcycling. Throughout the semester, students will complete multiple hands-on projects — from apparel and accessories to creative upcycling challenges — all leading to our End-of-Semester Fashion Show in June (date TBD), where their original designs come to life on the runway. Skills Students Will Learn: • Advanced machine sewing and finishing techniques • Hand sewing and garment detailing • Pattern use and garment construction • Cutting, pinning, ironing, and professional pressing • Fashion sketching and illustration • Mood boards and trend research • Upcycling and sustainable fashion practices • Designing and presenting a cohesive mini collection

Cancellation Policy
OUR POLICIES – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY CLASSES, CAMPS & WORKSHOPS To maintain a focused and enriching environment, enrollment is limited in all of our classes, camps, and workshops. Payments: If you register early and select the “Cash” payment option, payment must be made within 10 days to secure your spot. After 10 days, unpaid registrations will be released to others. Rescheduling: Need to reschedule? No problem. Your payment will be credited and can be used toward any class, camp, or service. Cancellations: Please note that all payments are non-refundable. If you cancel, you will receive a full credit that can be applied toward any other service. Makeup Classes: Students enrolled in a semester-based class may make up any missed sessions within the same semester only. Makeups do not carry over into future semesters. If We Cancel: In the rare event that The Fashionable Stylista cancels a class, camp, or workshop, you will receive a full refund within 10 business days. Payment Plans: Payment plans are available upon request, with a 10% administrative fee applied.
